Teenage crushes

In honor of the acne pit that is my face after returning from Ireland, I thought I would do a post in homage to one of my biggest pre-teen/adolescent crushes of all time. Let’s be honest, I’d still probably be speechless if I ran into him on the street. I give you…. Jonathan Taylor Thomas aka JTT/Randy Taylor:

Edward Cullen has NOTHING on that hairstyle. Oh lord, that jawline and those lips. SWOON.

JTT was the main reason I watched Home Improvement. Now I can look back and appreciate that show’s comedic value. At the time though, my priorities were a tad different. I merely tolerated the tool humor just to catch a glimpse of my favorite Taylor son.

A poster much like this one graced my wall:

He’s not quite as clean cut and baby-faced as he used to be, but I still think he’s more than acceptable these days.

Who were the objects of your teenage affection? Perhaps we should make a series of these…

Lips like this…

If I had lips like this, my husband might never turn down anything I ever asked for again.

And for a still shot:

I’m fully aware that he’s douche-tastic, but he’s a beautiful jackass. Sometimes you have to overlook these things for sexy celebrity men you’ll never actually meet.
Serenade me John, serenade me.

Superhot Superheroes

Let’s talk about hot Scottish guys (with British accents) for a moment, shall we? I have your attention? Okay, good.

On Sunday, Rusty and I had time to kill before dinner at the Melting Pot (yum! btw), so we decided to go watch a movie. The only 2 movies we wanted to see were The Hangover 2 or X-Men. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Zach Galifianakis, but there really was no contest. We’re both X-Men fans, so it was the obvious choice.

I hadn’t really heard anything about the movie, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Let me be forthright. This isn’t a movie review. The story was good. We loved it. Now, let’s focus on the more important topic at hand: the deluge of hotness (mainly) in the form of my lover, James McAvoy:

Oh. My. Lord. Not only is he more than marginally beautiful, but I could listen to him all day long. Seriously, the man could talk about changing his oil and I’d listen. He played the young Professor Xavier, whom I already love, so I was a definite fangirl over this. Let’s just have some more hotness, shall we?

Rawr.

Of course if you’re not into delicious Scottish/British men, there are other delightful pieces of eye candy to fit your liking. (But if you don’t like hot Scottish/British men, I only have one thing to say: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???)

Let’s look at a few of those gorgeous gentlemen as well:

Exhibit A: Michael Fassbender (the best Magneto has ever looked!)

Exhibit B: Lucas Till (don’t worry…he’s 20)

Exhibit C: Edi Gathegi (of Twilight fame)

Exhibit D: Brenden Fehr (from Roswell and Bones)

See what I mean? I’m sure there were more, but these were the ones that stuck out to me.

Have you seen it? Who was your favorite character?
